• Retina Institute Japan K.K. (RIJ), of Fukuoka, Japan, and Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co. Ltd. (DSP), of Osaka, Japan, signed an agreement under which DSP invests into RIJ to discuss an alliance that would put iPS cell technology for age-related macular degeneration to practical use.
