New report on EMRs available
Full Spectrum Software (FSS; Southborough, Massachusetts) has issued its fourth Software Technology Report for medical device makers. This report looks at the current market conditions, what the new definition of innovation is and what impact the development of electronic medical records (EMRs) will have from a software product development standpoint specifically for the medical device industry.
"The hospital market is suffering economically and medical device makers need a strategy to make their products more attractive to hospital buyers," FSS said. "Many medical device makers can employ some software development strategies to accomplish this."
Full Spectrum Software also examines what can be done from a medical software development perspective to deal with emerging standards. 2009 may be the year that the standards battle begins in earnest.
It said the new Software Technology Report, "How to Survive in 2009 and Beyond," is a must-read for software developers involved with software development for the medical device industry. The report is free and no registration is required.
