ProLogis (Memphis) reported that it has leased about 211,000 square feet of recently developed distribution space to Cardinal Health (Dublin, Ohio).
Cardinal Health will occupy the space at ProLogis Park DeSoto, a master-planned distribution park near Memphis in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The company now leases just under one million square feet from ProLogis in five locations throughout the U.S. Cardinal Health will use the space to distribute medical and surgical products to hospitals, clinical laboratories, ambulatory care facilities and physician offices across Northern Mississippi, Western Tennessee and the entire state of Arkansas.
"Cardinal Health is a valued customer, and we are pleased to expand our relationship with this lease in Olive Branch, Mississippi," said Jeremy Giles, senior vice president and Southeast regional director for ProLogis. "Cardinal Health selected our facility for its high-quality design and superior location, which will enable more efficient delivery to its customers."
In other agreements/contracts news, Medtronic (Minneapolis) has joined forces with the Davis Phinney Foundation (Boulder, Colorado) to raise awareness among individuals with Parkinson's disease and their caregivers about how to improve their lives. Together, through educational programs focused on daily victories over Parkinson's disease, they aim to increase understanding about the importance of exercise, living a healthy lifestyle and the consideration of various treatment options during April's National Parkinson's Awareness Month and throughout the year.
The foundation was established by Olympic cyclist Davis Phinney, who was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's disease in 2000 and has maintained an active lifestyle through a combination of exercise, a positive attitude and various treatments.
