Though oversubscribed, the offering got a cool market reception, with shares plunging nearly 30% from a ¥32 open (US$27.96), then closing at ¥24.50 on the first day of trading before recovering slightly to ¥27.40 on Jan. 20.
Peijia Medical Ltd. has acquired exclusive rights to Jenavalve Technology Inc.’s transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) products for the treatment of aortic regurgitation (AR) and aortic stenosis (AS). Suzhou, China-based Peijia is now able to develop, manufacture, and commercialize the TAVR products in Greater China.

Sana Biotechnology Inc. has acquired rights to two CAR T constructs through a pair of deals, one with partners Innovent Biologics Inc. and Iaso Biotherapeutics Co. Ltd. and a second with the U.S.-based National Cancer Institute (NCI). In the Innovent-Iaso deal, Sana secured nonexclusive commercial rights to a B-cell maturation antigen-targeted CAR T construct for in vivo gene therapy and ex vivo hypoimmune cell therapy applications. The NCI deal, for exclusive commercial rights to the NCI’s CD22 CAR asset, could help Sana “address key relapse challenges for CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapies,” the company said.

In vitro diagnostic (IVD) company Virtue Diagnostics (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. has raised $100 million in a series B round to develop its clinical diagnostics and bring them to other markets. “With the latest funding, Virtue Diagnostics will hire talent, introduce technology, and expand to other markets,” said Johnson Zhang, CEO of Virtue Diagnostics.
