Ekos (Bothell, Washington) reported that the FDA has cleared its EkoSonic Endovascular System for the ultrasound facilitated, controlled and selective infusion of physician-specified fluids, including thrombolytics, into the vasculature for the treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE).
